Each type of photography present it’s own advantages and it’s own challenges. Night photography is no different. For sports photography I am almost always enjoy the full sunlight. Low light is challenging and there is really is not advantage to the low light levels.
Most other photography I really like the lower light situations. They can still be a challenge to get a crisp shot, but the tones are generally more pleasing. Night photography can produce some very cool photos.
Here are some great photos taken by others at night.

Awesome photos! I really like the ones that have what I assume is the aurora borealis effect going on.

This is really cool Matt. I wish I can have the talent which you have, I like taking shots but low light is very difficult to determine the right angle.

What a bunch of amazing photographs to inspire viewers. So many people love night photography because they don’t fully understand it. I love that! haha.
This reminds me that I need to get out at night and start shooting more. I have a great idea for night photographs in my city (actually more like early morning photographs).
I agree the ability to see these photographs in a larger setting would be great too. I still get inspired regardless.
I am soon to experiment with long day time exposures using a ND filter. I want to go out where the streets are super busy and see how things turn out.

Matt… I’m not a photographer, but I am a fan of really good photographers. I’m your fan
As one of the commenters suggested, larger photos would be nice. I would also like to see them in a lightbox of highslide to save a little work and enjoy the photos better.
